Built for every kind of UK event

EntryTicket is for every kind of UK event: gigs, comedy nights, club nights, theatre, conferences, workshops, sports fixtures, school and PTA events, charity fundraisers, parties, meetups, and community and cultural celebrations.

Why UK organisers look for an Eventbrite alternative

Eventbrite's UK organiser fee is 6.95% + 59p per paid ticket, with payment processing included. Because part of it is a percentage, the fee grows with your ticket price: a £50 ticket costs more to sell than a £10 one.

A flat per-ticket fee works the other way round. On EntryTicket Starter the platform fee is 49p whether the ticket is £5 or £500, and card processing is charged by Stripe on top.

What you pay on a £10, £20 and £50 ticket

Eventbrite's figure includes card processing. EntryTicket's 49p does not, so Stripe's 1.5% + 20p is added to make the comparison fair.

Features Eventbrite doesn't lead on

WhatsApp ticket delivery

Tickets land in WhatsApp as well as email, which suits audiences who organise everything in group chats. See how to sell tickets via WhatsApp.

Check-in from any phone

Scan QR tickets with the check-in scanner on any phone with a data connection, or find a guest by name and check them in. Read the check-in guide for poor-signal venues.

Payouts to your Stripe

Ticket money is paid out to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule.

Free events cost £0

No fee on free tickets, so RSVPs and free community nights cost nothing to run.

When Eventbrite is still the better choice

If most of your buyers find you through Eventbrite's own event listings, weigh that before you switch.

EntryTicket is built for organisers who bring their own audience, from promoters and comedy clubs to conference hosts, sports clubs and schools: you share your link in your groups, socials and mailing list, and keep more of each ticket.

How to switch in 10 minutes

  1. Create your event page: Add the date, venue, ticket types and a picture. You get a shareable event page, so you do not need a website.
  2. Connect Stripe: Connect your own Stripe account. Ticket money is paid out to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule.
  3. Share your link: Post the link in WhatsApp groups, on social media or in your newsletter. Buyers pay by card and get a QR ticket by WhatsApp and email.
  4. Scan at the door: Open the check-in scanner on a phone with a data connection and scan QR tickets as guests arrive.

Frequently asked questions

How do EntryTicket's fees compare with Eventbrite's?

It depends on your ticket price. On a £20 ticket, Eventbrite's UK fee is £1.98 including processing. On EntryTicket Starter you pay 49p plus Stripe's card fee of about 50p, so about 99p in total.

Which events can I move from Eventbrite to EntryTicket?

Any UK event with paid or free tickets: gigs, comedy, club nights, theatre, conferences, workshops, sports, school and charity events, parties, meetups, and community events. You recreate the event on EntryTicket; there is no import tool.

Does EntryTicket list events for buyers to browse?

Public events appear on the EntryTicket Discover events page, but most sales come from the link you share in your own groups, socials and mailing list.

Can I pass the 49p fee on to buyers?

Yes. For each ticket type you choose whether the buyer pays the booking fee or you absorb it. Stripe's card fee (1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards) is separate from the 49p.

When do I get paid?

Ticket money is paid out to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its usual schedule.

Are free events free?

Yes. Free events cost £0 on EntryTicket.

Can I move my existing Eventbrite event?

You can recreate an event on EntryTicket in a few minutes: add the details, set up ticket types and share the new link.

Do buyers need an app?

No. Buyers get a QR ticket in WhatsApp and by email, and show it at the door.

Does door scanning need a connection?

Yes. Each scan is checked online, so the scanning phone needs mobile data or Wi-Fi. See our guide to running check-in where the signal is poor.
